Happy Birthday RAINN Campaign!!

Happy Friday bloggers! Happy birthday to yours truly! I am a delightfully young 34 today. (I say this because The Husband is much older than me so I am always delightfully young compared to him!)

Anyway, I am SUPER excited to announce the start of my RAINN campaign to fight sexual abuse!

The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network is the nation's largest anti-sexual assault organization. RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1.800.656.HOPE and the National Sexual Assault Online Hotline at rainn.org, and publicizes the hotlines’free, confidential services; educates the public about sexual assault; and leads national efforts to prevent sexual assault, improve services to victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice.

I am using my book The Phoenix Rising: A Survivor's Story, which details my own struggle with abuse, to provide funds for this amazing organization. I never, ever want anyone else to have to suffer in silence the way that I did for so many years.

My publishing company, Arden Iva-Gene Books will donate 30% of revenue to RAINN, the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization for every copy of the book sold. This includes the Kindle version! (Nook is not available yet, sorry!) This would equate to about $3.60 per hard copy and $1.05 for each Kindle version sold based on their wholesale cost. You can also purchase directly from me (the publisher) at Amazon in the Amazon Marketplace where even more proceeds would benefit RAINN.

You can visit my RAINNmaker page here if you'd like to donate directly without purchasing the book (I know some of you already have it) or purchase your copy at Amazon (I would direct you to Barnes and Nobel but it is listing it as $103 from a private seller?!).

Please consider purchasing a copy or donating directly to this super important organization to help end the suffering of others. Even $5 can make a difference. Feel free to spread the word bloggers!

Thanks for your support!
