Daily Schedule Linky Party!

Becca over at Simply 2nd Resources is hosting a linky party dedicated to classroom daily schedules.

I know I can't be alone in my love of making my schedule every year....right?? (Please say right!!)

I do have to marvel that anyone already knows their schedule for 2011-2012. I'm truly lucky if I know a whole week ahead of the first day of school. One year, we literally found out the first DAY of school that our lunch was moved. (And we found this out after the day had begun!) Considering how picky I am, this did not make me a happy lady! Alas, you do what you can.

That said, I know for SURE our schedule this year will be changing. Mrs. Principal has told us many times that she thinks we're going to try 4 lunch periods. I have no idea how in the world they are going to pull that off, especially since both of our parapros were laid off from our building! Seriously we have two literacy coaches but no paras. I love both of our coaches but really....ONE could do the job and then we could have our paras back! Grrr. And since teachers are supposed to be duty-free for 40 minutes at lunch....again, I have no idea how they would pull off 4 lunches. 

Anyway, since I am a self-professed freak, I played with my ideal schedule before school ever let out. Yes, I should be committed but c'mon...you know you're guilty of it too. (RIGHT?! Again, please humor me here and just say "right"!) I know this will change and I haven't accounted for specials classes because those get scheduled by the district, not the school and then the schools have to align the times with the other schedules in the building (lunches, recess, etc).

Ideally, this would be my schedule for 2011-2012 (again, not including specials):

8:20-8:30 Arrival/Lockers

8:30-8:45 Morning Meeting

8:45-9:00 Eetchy Speechy Warmup 

9:00-9:45 Writing Workshop

9:45-11:15 Daily 3

11:20-12:00 Lunch & Recess

12:05-12:15 Read Aloud

12:15-1:45 Math

1:45-2:05 Recess

2:05-2:15 Read Aloud

2:15-3:00 Science/Social Studies

3:00-3:09 Clean up/Homework

3:09 - Dismissal

Once I do know my schedule for sure, I will post it (in August!).
